of Buckner F. Melton, Sr.
by Mercer University Press. Mr. Melton was born at the end
of the depression and grew up as the son of a preacher before
becoming a member of the Navy, a lawyer, and a dedicated public
servant to the city of Macon. Mr. Melton's memoir tells the
story of his fascinating life from his youth to his days as
Mayor of Macon using many private and public episodes from
his life.
Sell & Melton is pleased to announce the publication of "Conversations
with Ed Sell." This work is made up of six interviews with
Ed S. Sell Jr., telling the story
of his life from his childhood in Athens, Georgia and years
in the Army to his legal career in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Sell
enjoyed a long and distinguished legal career, serving as
Macon City Attorney and Chief County Attorney until his retirement.
These interviews explore but a portion of his distinguished
professional and personal life.
Sell & Melton is pleased to announce the publication of John
Comer's article "Time to Retire? A Self-Evaluation
Guide" in The Practical Lawyer. In his article, Mr. Comer
explores the issue of retirement planning and recommends that
this planning take place at the time of one's entry into law
practice. Additionally, Mr. Comer suggests a series of humorous
and serious self-evaluation tests to help lawyers determine
when retirement is appropriate.
